A Few New Spring Things

Spring has finally sprung, and with the promise of warmer weather just around the corner, I thought now would be a great time to add in a few additions to my daily skincare and makeup routine.

For the past few months I have been suffering from parched, dehydrated skin and my usual moisturisers just hadn't been cutting it. When I discovered that Garnier was launching a brand new lightweight moisturiser that promised to 'quench your skin's thirst' I knew I had to get my hands on a bottle, and quickly. Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb is the day cream in Garnier's new hydrating skin care system. At £5.33 it's affordable and readily available. I picked mine up at Boots but I've also spotted it in my local Asda and Tesco. I can't wait to see if this makes a difference to my skin, I will keep you updated.

Along with my dehydrated face, I have been getting a few pesky breakouts on my chest. (Not making myself sound too attractive here I know...) I always used Witch Anti Blemish Gel, which is fantastic but my local Boots were unfortunately out of stock when I went to pick up a replacement tube. Instead I picked up what looked like their own brand equivalent, Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Gel (£2.99) and so far I have to say it's working wonders. The gel is quickly absorbed and leaves your skin feeling lovely and smooth. I will continue to use this and let you know how it works.

I had been meaning to pick this face powder up for what seemed like the longest time. I finally caved after my friend India received it and confirmed it was as good as I'd hoped. Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder is currently reduced to £13.60 on Look Fantastic and it is totally worth it. I have been using this for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. The powder is very finely milled and is almost undetectable on the skin, plus it sets my foundation in place perfectly.

Last up is another item that I had been hankering after for a while. I had seen tonnes of my favourite YouTubers rave about the EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Liquid Foundation and when I finally found it on Look Fantastic (my new favourite online outlet...) I had to pick a bottle up. I got mine in shade F100 which is the lightest they do for £12.50. After I purchased it I read that F100 is equivalent to NW25. I usually wear an NW10 so I instantly knew this was going to be too dark for me before it even arrived. None the less, I have managed  to wear this with about 4 drops of my Body Shop Lightening Drops mixed in and I thought it looked gorgeous. I'm gutted I couldn't experience its full effect without the drops, guess I'll just have to crack the fake tan out.

Have you picked up any new bits lately to help you transition into the new season? xoxo
