The 2 Moisturisers That You Need This Summer

As a blogger I feel like I'm constantly searching for the ultimate in face and body moisturisers. I have combination to dry skin on my face and very dry skin on my body so I moisturise from head to toe daily. Almost religiously.

In the Summer I like to reach for lighter formulas that absorb quickly whilst remaining hydrating, and in the Winter I tend to go for something typically richer and more indulgent. The two that I have been reaching for daily have fast become my go-to’s in the warmer weather...

Garnier Moisture Bomb Day Cream has become my staple face moisturiser since I picked it up 6 weeks ago. It has more of a lotion like texture than I would normally go for but it blends in like a dream. It sinks in very quickly and doesn't leave any kind of a residue behind that hydrating moisturisers can typically do. The pump bottle is really easy to use and one pump dispenses the perfect amount for your whole face. I've found that this works really well under my makeup too and almost acts like a primer. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I’m out as I can’t imagine not using this now as part of my daily routine. Garnier also do a Night Cream in this line and I’m curious to give that a try too.

I always thought spray on body moisturisers were a bit of  a gimmick until I discovered Palmers Cocoa Butter Rapid Moisture Spray, and now I'm converted. It’s always been a part of my morning routine to apply moisturiser straight out of the shower, but I some mornings, especially in the winter when your feeling the chill it can feel like a chore I could do without. This spray on formula cuts the time and effort down by half! Simply spray all over, then rub in. It dries really quickly too which also saves you that 20 mins wandering around the house in your underwear waiting for your moisturiser to sink in before getting dressed (ladies, we’ve all been there…).

This does have a distant cocoa butter smell which might put some people off. I don’t mind it as I find the scent doesn’t linger for more than 10 minutes or so. This is lightweight yet nourishing and it’s become a part of my morning routine that I don’t actually mind. I have also used this prior to applying my trusty St Tropez (blog post coming soon) and I find it works really well as base for tanning too.

What moisturisers have you been reaching for lately? xoxo
